The package directions said wait at least 20 minutes. I let it sit for an hour before trying to peel it off, because some reviews I saw recommended leaving it on for 2 hours for the best results. I had a problem peeling it off because most of it still had not dried, so I scrubbed it off with a spoolie.

And oh, my god, my brows were green!

How could this happen? Ok, so at least this fades in 3 days, right? I spent the rest of the day googling brow gel tint turned green. Thats how long these new Maybelline Tattoo Studio Waterproof Brow Gels ($9.99 are supposed to last on your brows.

They are long lasting Ill give em that. I only wore Medium Brown for a day, but I did sweat my way through life and went for a run on the treadmill, and it stayed put just fine.

Thing isthese are kind of hard to use. They come in tubes with a teeny, tiny doe foot, and the instructions on the box suggest bringing the doe foot directly to your brow, starting at the midpoint and going to the ends, then filling in the front before taking the separate spoolie , and brushing the gel through.

The look is lush and full, and the hold is super soft, so no crunchy brows , but the resulting brow looks like more like a solid block of color than a brow comprised of individual brown hairs.

So the look isnt really my style, but if youre into that packed, full, dense high-glam brow, this might work for you.

Would I Buy Maybelline Tattoo Brow Again Though

In a word? Probably.

Next time, Id probably go for a darker shade for my first experiment I played it safe with Light Brown, but I think I could probably risk Medium Brown without too much trouble. I was a bit disappointed that my brows didnt really get much darker with it, although, with that said, as a redhead, it can be almost impossible to find brow products that look natural, so I guess thats a point in this products favour, too, although, if youre looking for a more dramatic effect, then maybe dont go choosing the lightest colour.

What I DID like about this, however, is the fact that it really filled in all of the bald spots, as well as neatening up the general shape of my brows. Again, you cant really see this from the photos, but the outline of the brows is now much smoother, which means I dont have to basically invent my own eyebrows by drawing them in every morning I just wake up with them already in place.

So, overall, my feelings are a bit mixed on this one, but not so much that I wouldnt buy it again, albeit in a darker colour next time. I might go and put some more on right now, in fact
