Of all the things to get upset about, this one is going to seem really ridiculous, but I can’t stop wanting to cry about the tattoo between my breasts that was put there during radiotherapy planning. I was told it would look like a freckle, but it actually looks like a large blackhead. I had three tattoo dots for my radiotherapy for prostate cancer Two were on my side while one was on my lower abdomen. They have never bothered me, in fact mine are so small I can hardly see them.
I do understand your concern but mine have faded And I would expect your will too given time.

Just to add, it feels like an epilator – a prickling sensation but not pain. It does not go deep enough to be painful. Plus because of the cutting, I am not as sensitive there. Nothing at all like having anything done to your real untouched nipple.

I completed my radiotherapy today so that’s my hospital based treatment pretty much done. YIPPEE .
My nails are still falling off my fingers and feet are numb and I have little head hair, my breast is red and sore and my right arm is swollen from a blood clot ….. but apart from that ….. and being tired ….. I’m beginning to feel well / human again.
I was diagnosed on 3rd May had a mastectomy and reconstruction for a 115mm lobular, oestrogen receptive tumour on 30th June followed by aspiration and then further surgery to remedy infections chemo from 25th August to 4th January and radiotherapy from 25th January till today.
