How Does Tattoo Removal Work
Tattoo removal is generally done with a laser. The laser breaks up the ink into smaller pieces, which can be absorbed by the body. The number of sessions youll need, and the difficulty of removing a tattoo, depend on a few factors including: the tattoo colors, the size of the tattoo, the color density, your skin color/tone, and the age of the tattoo. In general, a tattoo is easier to remove if youve had it for a long time, and it is made of dark colors on light skin. Newer tattoos take more work to remove, as do tattoos on dark skin, and tattoos with light colors. When the right laser is used on a tattoo, it shatters the ink in the upper layers of skin before it can reach the ink in the lower layers.
