Apply A Light Layer Of Ointment To Your Tattoo

How to remove a temporary tattoo

During the healing process, your tattoo is likely to peel slightly. For it to heal as best as possible, you want to minimize the peeling by using moisturizer. Similarly to your soap, avoid chemical-based and scented products. These will block your pores and wont give your new tattoo the space to breathe.

Hustle Butter is a natural and organic alternative that can be used as a lubricant when you are tattooing. Its also great to use as an aftercare ointment. It promotes healing as soon as it comes into contact with your skin and minimizes swelling and redness. Only apply a very thin layer to the skin to avoid clogging your pores.

Cover Your Tattoo With Protective Film

Once youve cleaned your tattoo and applied a thin layer of ointment, you should cover it with a protective film. Keep the protective bandage on for approximately 2 to 3 hours to protect it from bacteria. You can use cling film on your tattoo or alternatively, there are precut sheets of protective tattoo film now available to purchase online.

Temporary Tattoo Tips And Tricks: How To Get Your Tattoos To Look Good And Last Longer

Temporary tattoos are a fun addition to anyones style and there are so many cool designs out there, but theres nothing worse than when you put them on and they turn out not quite as you envisioned or start to look a little sad after just a few hours. Ive tested my fair share of temporary tattoos over the past year, so I put together some tips on how to get the most out of them. This list covers everything from smooth application and removal, to ways to keep them looking their best.

Application

  • To increase the lifespan of your tattoo, apply it to an area that:
  • does not bend or stretch much
  • has minimal body hair
  • will not rub against clothing

Apply to clean and dry skin

  • Skin should be dry and free of makeup, lotion, etc. This will help the tattoo stick to your skin properly.
  • Before applying, wipe down the area with rubbing alcohol

Cut the design out

  • For a cleaner look, cut out the design as closely as possible.
  • Temporary tattoos usually have adhesive on the white space around the design as well. That means it will look shiny on your skin.

Press down firmly

  • When applying the tattoo, press it firmly against your skin and avoid creating air bubbles. Dont forget the edges!
  • Try not to pick it up and reposition it after removing the clear plastic layer. This might cause it to not stick to your skin as well.

Wet thoroughly

Preservation

Lock it in with lotion

Sticky?

Be gentle

Removal

  • Temporary tattoos can be removed with:
  • Rubbing alcohol

TCA is one of those inexpensive old school remedies that just works and works well. It is also used to soften fine stretch marks, remove moles, warts, skin tags, corns, freckles, brown spots, and even remove homemade tattoos. This solution works by generating an inflammation on the surface of the skin above the tattoo, which, after around a week, peels and sheds. The TCA causes the ink in the peeling tattoo to break down and move towards the surface of the skin as new skin replaces that which has been shed. This product has to be applied at intervals of 6 weeks until the tattoo is completely cleared. The cost of TCA tattoo removal is cheap and highly depends on the length of your treatment.
