CBSDEN Laser Tattoo Removal with QX MAX

Following a laser tattoo removal treatment, the treated area can be red and tender. However this tends to diminish within one to seven days. In some cases hyper or hypo-pigmentation of the skin may occur. This usually corrects itself anywhere from 6 to 12 months later. Keloid scarring is also a potential risk.

Can I Shower Right After A Laser Tattoo Removal Procedure

You can shower just a couple hours after your treatment but avoid water pressure directly on the tattoo. You wont be able to soak the area until all scabs and blisters have completely healed. That means no baths, no hot tubs, and no swimming pools. This minimizes any risk of infection. You can exercise immediately, as long as you follow your skin care instructions. Youll need to keep the tattoo area completely protected with SPF 25 or higher sunscreen for 3 months.

LASER TATTOO REMOVAL FAQ

HOW DOES IT WORK?

When you get a tattoo, the ink pigments are deposited into the dermis of the skin. Normally, the human immune system responds to foreign particles by capturing and filtering these particles out of the body. However, a tattoo is permanent because the ink particles are very large too large for the bodys defense system to re-absorb and remove. Laser tattoo removal uses a concentrated beam of light that is selectively absorbed by the pigment of the tattoo. The laser breaks the large boulder sized ink particles into small pebble sized ink particles that the bodys immune system is then able to absorb and filter out. Each tattoo removal session removes one layer of ink. We combine the laser tattoo removal with the FracTat method to improve results. More information on the FracTat method of tattoo removal is available in the following FAQ section.

Why Choose The Qx Max Instead Of Other Laser Tattoo Removal Options

To answer this question, lets have a further look into the process of removing the ink. First, we zap the tattoo once with the specific laser wavelength. The pigment inside of your dermis will be shaken by the vibration caused by trillions of laser impulsions per second. This vibration with minimal heat injury will destroy the pigment and gas will escape from its chemical degradation. That gas will make the tattoo or the pigment look frosty.

With other PICO Laser Tattoo Removal options, once the frosty color has set in, the laser cannot be reapplied since the white does not attract the laser.

This is where the QX Max stands superior to its competitors.

We use the StarWalkers FracTAT mode to create microscopic holes that release the frosty gas. These holes allow us to complete a second round of ink removal within the same session. This reduces the number of sessions needed to complete the tattoo removal in half compared to any other laser on the market, for the same price.

How does laser tattoo removal work? How does laser tattoo removal work?

Lasers are used to target the pigment in tattoo ink that resides below the skins surface and shatters it. Your bodys natural immune system will then absorb, break down and dispose of the pigment over a period of time.

What machinery do you use?

We have the Fotona QX Max. This high performance single-pulse Q-Switched laser is one of the most advanced laser systems on the market.

The QX Maxs high-energy, single pulse technology is very efficient at removing pigments safely. We are able to use a larger spot size, high energy and fast repetition rate without loosing any power from the machine. This enables us to clear large tattoos quickly and effectively, also meaning that your laser treatment are more comfortable as you do not have to sit a long period of time for the treatment to be done.

The QX Maxs Nd:YAG laser provides the ideal platform for removal of the most common tattoo colours with both the wavelength 1064nm and the 532 KTP built into the machine as well as dye hand pieces 650nm and 585nm .

What does the treatment feel like?

The short answer is, laser hurts . But the treatments are usually very quick- small tattoos can take just seconds, while larger scale work may be only minutes of actual laser time.

Clients often associate the feeling like a hot rubber band being snapped on the skin.

We will always ensure every laser treatment is as quick and comfortable as possible.

Tattoo Regret We Have The Solution

Laser tattoo and pigmented lesions removal with QX MAX

Tattoos are something that thousands and thousands of people have. Some people love them. Other people perhaps dont like them anymore and wish they had never done something that was permanent. The good news is now we can now do tattoo removal safely and effectively. We now have a laser called Fotonas QX Max, which is a Q-Switched Multi-Wavelength Laser. The reason the multi-wavelength is very important is because many tattoos have several different colors. Some do, and some dont. But if you do have a tattoo with several different colors, multi-wavelength is very powerful important because different wavelengths are required to address those different colors. The Q-Switched by Fotona has short pulses of intense light. This allows the laser to harmlessly, and thats important because you dont want to damage the outside skin, it harmlessly goes through the top layers of the skin and its selectively absorbed by the pigment that we are trying to your target.

It also uses single nanosecond pulses, which is what it takes to really be very effective and very safe as well as targeted. The different wavelengths that I mentioned that are in this multi-wavelength procedure are used, again, for multicolored tattoos. Multiple sessions may be needed, and theyre usually spaced apart by about three to four weeks because your skin has to heal. The area has to heal before we can treat it again.

Wavelengths For Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser wavelength must be considered when removing pigments from the skin, especially with complex multi-colored tattoos. The wavelength determines which pigment color or chromophore the treating laser energy will be predominantly absorbed in for selective removal. To ensure safe and effective treatments youll need various wavelengths to treat a wide range of pigmented lesions.

Our Fotona QX Max Laser System combines four different wavelength options, in an advanced, high powered solution for all color tattoos

  • 1064 nm Nd:YAG for dark pigments, black, dark blue and brown inks
  • 532 nm KTP for red, tan, purple and orange inks
  • 650 nm for green inks
  • 585 nm for blue, sky blue inks

This selection of wavelengths provides the ability to remove even the most complex, multi-colored tattoos.

Should I Avoid Using Any Skincare Products Before My Laser Tattoo Removal Sessions

Dont use any tanning lotions or spray tans. Avoid UV rays, as these can stimulate your production of vitamin D and will affect your skins melanin. This can increase your risks of hypopigmentation/lightening of the skin. If youre taking antibiotics, its not a good time for a laser removal session. You need to wait 14 days after you finish your antibiotic phase before having a laser procedure to avoid side effects.

Dont use any harsh treatments, such as depilatory creams for at least 1-2 weeks prior to your session. Also, take it easy on retinol, exfoliators, chemical peels, benzoyl peroxide, and the like.

After your session, be nice to your skin. Dont apply any makeup if the tattoo is on your face or neck, or if youre trying to cover it elsewhere, for 72 hours after your session.

Q-Switched lasers are the ideal tools for effectively removing complex and multi-colored tattoos. Multi-wavelength, Q-Switched laser systems with frequency-doubled KTP are uniquely able to produce very short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of skin to be selectively absorbed by treatment-specific pigments.

Highest Energy for Maximum Effectiveness

Fotona’s Q-Switched laser technology generates high-energy nanosecond pulses that are efficient at removing many types of tattoos. By using larger spot sizes at very high energy, deeper-lying pigmented structures can be reached and removed, and laser treatment efficacy and efficiency in a single session are significantly enhanced.

Different Wavelengths for Multicolored Tattoos

Fotona’s Q-Switched lasers offer four wavelengths in one system â enabling treatments for virtually all commonly used pigment colors. Extremely short energy pulses cause tattoo pigments to break into smaller particles, which are then removed by the body’s own immune system. Most tattoo procedures take only a few minutes, but several treatments are typically needed to completely remove a tattoo. Three-week intervals between sessions are required to allow pigment residue to be cleared by the body.

What Is Qx Max

QX Max is an aesthetic laser machine built with the latest Q-switched laser technology. It comes with four different wavelengths that can be used to target different skin indications. The machine is suitable for treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions, hair removal, tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation, and acne treatment.

With the powerful laser of QX Max, treatments can deliver the best results without any risk of causing skin damage. QX Max can treat even problematic pigmented lesions and complex tattoo colors.

Skin Pigmentation After Tattoo Removal

Older tattoo-removal technology like Q-switch lasers could help fade tattoos, but they never were really gone. Stubborn tattoo pigments stuck around, so you had a shadow of that awesome butterfly or sun on your shoulder. The QX-MAX laser offers advanced technology that breaks down the pigment into extremely small particles, which are then naturally removed from your body.

The only colors we may not recommend having treated are those that are white or beige, as they can oxide to a rusty brown color, so if your tattoo has those colors present, we may not recommend treatment.

Can I Exercise After Laser Tattoo Removal

You shouldnt exercise immediately after your laser tattoo removal session. Depending upon the size of your tattoo, you should wait between 1-2 days after each session before exercising. You need the tattoo skin to heal, and if you exercise immediately after your removal this can cause your skin to swell and blister. When you do return to exercise, remember, no public pools, hot tubs, or baths as you must not allow bacteria onto the area. When you are done exercising, be sure to shower to keep the tattoo clean.

Fotonas advanced Q-switched laser technology relies on groundbreaking solutions such as patented OPTOflex® and Vacuum Cell Technologies to produce an almost perfectly homogeneous beam profile, resulting in safer and more effective treatments for your patients.

Can Laser Tattoo Removal Remove Colored Tattoos

Yes. Professional tattoos with many colors overall require more sessions for complete removal in comparison to plain black tattoos. The size of the tattoo also makes a difference. In general, tattoo removal requires multiple sessions spaced about one month apart per session.

The Fotona StarWalker Q-Switched laser technology generates single nanosecond pulses, which are more efficient at removing pigment than multiple-pulse technologies of equivalently high power. The laser system offers four wavelengths in one system, enabling treatments for virtually all commonly used pigment colors. The StarWalker transmits extremely short energy pulses that cause tattoo pigments to break into smaller particles that are then removed by the bodys own immune system.

  • 1064nm Nd:YAG for removal of DARK PIGMENTS
  • 532nm KTP for RED, TAN, PURPLE and ORANGE tattoo inks
  • 650nm KTP for GREEN tattoo inks
  • 585nm KTP for SKY BLUE inks

What About Downtime And Side Effects

The StarWalker laser beam has been developed in accordance with the highest standards, parts, materials and technological support available. Compared to cheaper lasers, the different technological characteristics of the laser energy, frequency, shape of the beam, etc. are controlled and monitored by the system for any deviation and would turn off for service if found. This significantly reduces the risk of side effects such as scarring, burns, hyperpigmentation, and downtime. Nonetheless, different body and skin types may react differently to treatments.

Here at Inovo Medical clinic we always have your best interests at heart which is why choosing a great provider is key to achieving your optimal results. We adhere to the highest medical standards and our team of physicians and technicians will always tailor your treatment according to your own personal needs.

How Do I Care For My Skin After My Tattoo Removal Session

We apply an ice pack immediately after your treatment, followed by antibiotic cream and a bandage. Youll probably want to continue icing for a bit when you get home. Most discomfort runs its course quickly after your session.

After your session, your treated area may seem as if it has a superficial burn. At first, the tattoo will turn a frosty white color. This is caused by the release of carbon dioxide as the laser penetrates the skin. As mentioned above, youll probably want to ice the tattoo and take some Tylenol to sooth any discomfort. Dont take aspirin, as it can cause bleeding. Within eight hours and continuing for the next three days the treated tattooed skin will begin to peel or blister. This usually isnt dramatic, but it is important to not pick any scabs that form. This can cause scarring. Youll need to keep the area covered with antibiotic cream and a bandage for the first 3 days. After that, youll keep the area clean and dry. In 1-2 weeks, all crusting and scabbing should fully resolve.
