Can I Return To Normal Activities After Treatment
Those undergoing tattoo removal are likely to experience some pain and discomfort with treatment. Pain is managed by using cooling measures to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. There is little-to-no downtime. Most people are able to return to their activities of daily living shortly after treatment. You may need a bandage to keep the treatment area dry for a few days following tattoo removal.
Essentially, there is no safer or more effective tattoo removal laser in the world and Bye Bye Ink is proud to be able to offer that experience and those results to our clientele.
Q: Is Laser Tattoo Removal Safe
A: Yes, all of the devices we use at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York have FDA approval and have been used extensively for this purpose. Our board-certified dermatologists have the expertise and experience necessary to customize your treatments to ensure they are both safe and successful.
I Tried It: My Experience With Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal
In 2017 I began the process of getting two tattoos removed with Picosure laser tattoo removal technology.
Mom was right. Of course I knew she was all along. I got my first tattoos when I was 18. Well, the first one was just shy of my 18th birthday, so I felt all sorts of cool and rebellious for being a tattooed 17-year-old. That one was a floral design on the top of my foot, which was actually a quite beautiful and well-done tattoo. I started to dislike it when I realized it just looked like a big tacky blob on my foot, especially when I was dressed up.
The second was a bow on my wrist. While the bow bears a lot of meaning to me, I got it done at a terrible tattoo parlor and even getting it fixed by a better artist didnt help much. I pretty much never liked this tattoo and always kept it as covered up as possible.
Over the years Ive gotten 3 more tattoos, all of which are small and pretty hidden.
Even though I never truly hated my tattoos, over the past year I started looking into removal options just for the heck of it. When I discovered the newer technologies that make the process quicker and less damaging , I started to get more serious about the idea.
Through my research along with the help of good ol Momma G I found Dr. Anna Avaliani. I reached out to her office by email and got a nearly immediate response. A few days later I went to their NYC office for my consultation.
The bad news: it hurt. Like hell.

Q: How Many Treatments Will I Need
A: That depends on what we are treating. Tattoos usually take a few treatment sessions to achieve full results, while other concerns may be successfully addressed in a single treatment session. When you meet with your doctor at your initial consultation, you will receive a treatment plan so you know what to expect moving forward.
What Can You Expect After Picosure Tattoo Removal
After tattoo removal, the treated skin will be tender for a few days. Wait at least 24 hours before showering or soaking your treated skin. Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs until your skin is totally healed.
After three to five days of ointment and dressings, patients are free to leave the treated area open to the air but absolutely must apply sunscreen to the area or risk damage and scarring, advises Dr. Paul. The skin is still trying to heal at this point and is very sensitive.
You may also see blisters and scabs developing on the treated area. Make sure not to pick at the irritated skin and keep it clean it will dry up and flake off within two weeks of treatment.
With each tattoo removal session, the color gets lighter and theres less scabbing. Keep the area clean and dry and apply a nonstick pad until its healed. Dr. Tanghetti recommends using a gentle cleanser up to three times a day, followed by Vaseline or Aquaphor, and applying the nonstick dressing if the wound looks weepy. Optimal results occur after six sessions, performed once every six weeks.

Introducing The Candela Picoway
Are you ready to make a change? If you have a tattoo that youre ready to remove, the targeted PicoWay Laser System may be just right for you. PicoWay is a picosecond laser that is FDA cleared for treatment of acne scars, wrinkles, pigmentation and tattoo removal. The PicoWay works by shattering tattoo ink into minuscule particles. The advanced PicoWay technology is highly effective, removing a broad range of ink colors, including difficult to remove blue and green ink. PicoWay is a laser with the highest peak power and ultra-short pulse durations. It reaches below the surface of the skin to target pigment, such as dark spots or tattoo ink, and breaks it down into tiny particles nearly invisible to the naked eye.
Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal Helps You Return To Clear Beautiful Skin
There seem to be more people than ever showing some type of ink on their skin. At the same time, the rate of tattoo removal has also increased significantly, 43 percent in 2012 alone. The reasons for tattoo removal are as personal as those that lead a person to get inked in the first place. Today, one of the primary concerns related to tattoos is employment, with even the military instituting tighter regulations around this form of expression.
If you are the one in five people who desire tattoo removal and a return to clear, beautiful skin, there are several options to consider, with differences that really do matter. Early forms of tattoo removal included dermabrasion, acid treatments, and even surgical excision. Today, it is all about laser technology. Harnessing the power of laser light, tattoo removal treatments are gentler and safer.
Dr. Ron Shelton, in his mid-town Manhattan dermatology practice, uses the latest in laser tattoo removal technology, PicoSure®. Where conventional laser tattoo removal uses nanosecond technology, the Picosecond pulse is delivered in bursts equaling only one-trillionth of a second. These ultra-short bursts maximize the photomechanical impact of laser energy, facilitating the fastest possible clearance of tattoo ink. The research behind PicoSure laser technology has advanced even since the first generation laser had been brought to the market, and there is better reduction of more colors than had been seen in the past.

How Much Does Tattoo Removal Cost In Singapore
There are many factors that affect the cost of laser tattoo removal in Singapore- things like how big is the tattoo, how many colours does the tattoo have, who is providing the treatment, the quality of equipment you are being on will also affect the cost. Oftentimes people will treat you with a laser thats very cheap and ineffective and doesnt really provide outstanding results. Thats why it is important to carefully choose the clinic where you will remove your tattoo.
Pico treatments in Singapore, particularly when used for laser tattoo removal, typically are going to range on the higher end. So when you look at the typical range per session you go from the low end $250 per session, to sessions that can be high as $1000 for something thats considered in essence an extra-large tattoo. In generally speaking it is important to know that typical tattoos need between five and ten sessions with great equipment.
Q: What Will I Look Like After Treatment
A: The skin in the treatment area will be red and tender, similar to a sunburn. In the days following, blisters can appear over the ink, which will go down within about one week. Patients with darker skin tones might see some pigmentation changes following treatment, but those are typically temporary. As long as you protect your skin from direct sun exposure, you should not see any lasting side effects once the skin heals.

- The tattoo removal laser treatment may create a superficial burn wound. Immediate whitening/frosting of the treated area lasts for several minutes. Redness and swelling is typical. Pinpoint bleeding may also occur. You may experience bruising or swelling.
- In the event that scabs form, DO NOT pick, peel, rub, scrub, scratch, or allow the skin to become scraped throughout the healing process as this may result in infection and scarring.
- Blisters, crusts, or scabs develop within 8-72 hours and may last for 1-2 weeks. Treated areas may be pink or pale after the scab separates. Hypertrophic scars or even keloid, can occur but are very rare. Healing is usually complete within 4 weeks, although this may vary.
- Feel free to shower 12 hours after treatment, but take care to avoid high-pressure water hitting the treated area. Baths, hot tubs, swimming pool, sauna, or any forms of soaking in water are not recommended until the area is completely healed, as they may increase risk of infection.
- Itching is very common due to dehydrating effect of the laser treatment. Use Aquaphor to treat the area and do not scratch. It may help to lightly wrap the area or apply a cold compress.
- Physical exercise that causes perspiration should be discontinued for at least 2-7 days after treatment as excessive perspiration may disrupt healing process.
- A cool compress may be applied as necessary to help reduce discomfort and inflammation.
